Application scenarios for the EBM D2D160-BE02-4 AC centrifugal fan with housing (without flange)
The EBMPAPST D2D160-BE02-4 is specially designed for industrial variable frequency drive cooling and is mainly used in:
Variable frequency drive cooling systems: Compatible with ABB ACS800 series variable frequency drives, used for forced air cooling to ensure stable operation of high-power electronic components.
Industrial automation equipment: Such as PLC control cabinets, servo drives, and other enclosed electrical cabinets requiring high airflow cooling.
Energy and power equipment: For example, variable frequency drives for generator sets
Important Notes for Using the D2D160-BE02-4 AC Centrifugal Fan
Electrical and Installation Requirements
Voltage Compatibility:
Rated voltage is 230V (some models compatible with 400V). Power supply must be strictly matched; overvoltage may cause damage.
Power output current must be ≥2 times the motor's rated current (approximately ≥4.4A) to prevent voltage drops from triggering under-voltage protection.
Installation Guidelines:
Avoid manually bending or stretching the power cable or fan blades to prevent structural damage.
Ensure the air duct is unobstructed and maintain unobstructed air inlets/outlets to maintain a flow rate efficiency of 1290 m³/h.
Environment and Maintenance
Environmental Restrictions:
Operating temperature range: 0–55°C, humidity ≤85%.
Do not use in environments with metal dust or sand dust, as contaminants may cause bearing seizure or reduced airflow.
Maintenance Points:
Regularly clean dust from the fan blades (perform while the unit is shut down) to prevent imbalance-induced noise.
Inspect the condition of the seals to ensure no oil residue affects heat dissipation efficiency.
Safety Operations
Do not plug or unplug while powered on: Disconnect the power supply before connecting or disconnecting to prevent arc damage to the interface.
Reverse direction switching: Apply braking for ≥0.1 seconds before changing direction to avoid damaging the motor driver.
